This sculpture depicts the Shaiva saint Manikkavachakar. He is shown standing on a circular double lotus pedestal. His right hand is raised in chinna mudra in which the index finger is joined with the thumb. He holds the Tiruvachkam manuscript in his left hand. His appearance is akin to a monk with short hair and a sort of jewellery fastened around his forehead.
