A pair of clappers made of wood. Jingle plates are loosely attached to the body by means of iron nails. The body is beautifully carved with bird motifs. Played by one hand, by holding the clappers between thumb and four fingers. Used in devotional singing. Also called Kartal or Khartal in North India.
