This painting is located on the left aisle wall in Cave 17. The forest scene and the depiction of animals in this painting is noteworthy.
A kind and compassionate monkey helps save the life of a man trapped in the forest. But the man tries to attack the monkey and eat its flesh. The monkey survives the attack and guides the man out of the forest. He remains remorseful but eventually contracts leprosy and when questioned by a king, tells him that his fate is the result of his past cruel acts.
