In the right aisle of Cave 16 we see this large panel dedicated to Shakyamūni Buddha. Scenes from his life: from birth to his spirtual journey has been painted.


Story:

The Bodhisatva is born as Prince Siddhārtha in the Sakya royal family. He undergoes training to be a king and lives a life of bliss until he is moved to follow a spiritual life.
