A series of paintings in Cave 16 are sadly damaged, but certain scenes remain from which the stories have been identified.


Story:

Based on one of the most famous stories about the Bodhisatva, this painting is about the virtuous deeds of prince Viśvantara. The prince gives up his belongings, his kingdom, his children and even his beloved wife. Only to be rewarded in the end for all his good deeds.
